Openess and grandeur of the landscape – I had this feeling inside
the Valtice horse riding hall.Spectacular character and even the
pomp of the church and the castle. This inspired and haunted me
as well when I was working at large format paintings.

As my present life does not give me much chance to stretch a large
piece of canvas and to forget about everything for a longer time,
the symposium was a very pleasant opportunity how to to calm down.
I also enjoyed the fact that I was allowed to watch the others working,
to follow the ideas of those who worked with me side by side. Events
like this one should go on in any form…

The symposium enables artists to try a long term concentration on
work outside one‘s own studio.

I must appreciate it. The real value is the possibility to work
in the large space of the horse riding hall. The large format pictures
are given a new size there. My best regards and I wish you a lot
of luck in future.

Amazing!

There is no doubt that the International Symposium Large Format
held in Valtice, the Czech Republic, belongs to those which are
most attractive for painters. Of course, the attractiveness of the
region of south Moravia and historical area of Valtice and surroundings
play an important role. Working conditions in the horse riding hall
are ecxellent, the number of participant just all right and material
support sufficiant.
The time given to the symposium seems to be optimal, and from my
point of view the only problem is the fact that participants are
accommodated at a far away hostel of the local football club.
I wish the symposium to go on as succesfully as so far, but mainly
I wish it more sponsors. And as for the organizers, I wish them
a lot of strength and energy.

Very good material for working. Very friendly people, good atmosphere,
wonderful place for working.
I was very sorry that we spoke different languages and also that
my English is no good. I wish you all good luck.
